DESCRIPTION:This session covers how to create reproducible research and literate programming documents using knitr\, Sweave\, Quarto\, blogdown\, and bookdown. \nThe RStudio environment enables the easy creation of documents in various formats (HTML\, DOC\, PDF) using Rmarkdown\, while knitr allows the incorporation of executable R code to produce the tables and figures in those documents. Sweave provides more advanced LaTeX typesetting\, and Quarto provides even more flexibility and functionality. The blogdown and bookdown packages allow the easy creation of formatted documents in both web-compatible and print formats. DESCRIPTION:Sharing your data and code is the essential step in maximizing the impact and usefulness of your research. \nThis workshop first reviews repositories for data publication such as Dataverse\, ICPSR\, OSF\, Zenodo\, and more. Then we turn to a detailed discussion of building R packages. \nR Packages are an excellent way to distribute collections of data and code. Following the release of the 2nd edition of Hadley Wickham’s R Packages book\, this workshop reviews the package creation process\, covering prerequisites\, the steps involved in creating a complete package\, and following up on documentation and testing. \nPart of the Data Topics series of workshops. \nWorkshop conducted via Zoom. SUMMARY:RAD Collaboratory Research Symposium
DESCRIPTION:The Rutgers Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (RAD) Collaboratory is pleased to announce that its second annual Research Symposium will be held on Friday\, April 9\, 2027 at the Busch Student Center. \nThis in-person symposium brings together Rutgers faculty\, research staff\, postdoctoral fellows\, students\, and partners from industry to showcase data science and artificial intelligence research through keynote lectures\, and Rutgers faculty and industry panel discussions\, followed by a trainee poster session.   \nThe event aligns with the RAD Collaboratory\, a New Brunswick Chancellor Signature Initiative overseen by The Rutgers–New Brunswick Office for Research that advances collaborative data science and AI/ML research\, student programming\, and community engagement across Rutgers.  \nFor more information and to register: go.rutgers.edu/rad_symposium \nThis symposium is made possible with funding and support provided by the Rutgers-New Brunswick Office of the Chancellor\, the Rutgers-New Brunswick Office for Research\, and the Rutgers University Office of the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs.
